In Motion begins the creation of disruptive products with In Motion Labs

Cristián López, manager of new products and who leads this new business unit, explained that In Motion Labs was born from the need to support and drive the digital transformation of customers. This, based on the creation of innovative and disruptive products that generate greater productivity and an increase in the profitability of the companies they represent.

In Motion Labs is called the new In Motion business unit. Cristián López, manager of new products and who leads this newly created area, stressed that “In Motion Labs seeks to design and shape products with intellectual property In Motion, based on cutting-edge technologies that we represent and know well, in a few words to manufacture what we consume “. Lopez clarified that when the decision was made to create In Motion Labs, in September 2017, it was made from the premise that “you have to listen to customers, their pains and, from there, create new products suited to their needs.”

In Motion Labs today has a group of professionals, mostly millennials, who will concentrate their efforts in five markets: Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Chile. In a first stage, the work will focus on creating digital products for the insurance market and then extend the same type of innovations to other industry segments. Cristián López stressed that it is a multidisciplinary and multicultural team capable of detecting the requirements in each of these countries. “There are two professional profiles, one strictly technical and one that we define as BDM (Business Development Manager), the latter has the commercial skills to know how to detect needs and sales opportunities,” says Cristián López.

The expert reiterated that in In Motion Labs each project is born from “the pain of the client” and the work, he explained, is defined as a co-creation by an unresolved need. “To address a problem there must be a pain and that’s where there is just the opportunity to create a new product, which generates competition and satisfaction,” he said. The business plan proposed by In Motion includes the conception, design, evaluation and sale, among other key stages of the process. “In Motion Labs is not only research and development, In Motion Labs is also a sale,” López concludes.

In Motion is a multinational company that defines itself as a business solutions partner for insurance companies, telecommunications, banking, retail and government companies. With a history of 23 years of direct and successful participation in large technology projects, inside and outside Chile, today the company is an organization that contributes to the digital transformation with a disruptive vision capable of generating its own solutions based on brands with which works. In Motion has more than 250 employees and over 100 corporate clients, main offices in Santiago and offices in Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Costa Rica and the United States.
