BANK OF IRELAND RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH GOLFER SHANE LOWRY

The Bank of Ireland has announced that it will renew the sponsorship of Irish golf player Shane Lowry for a new deal.

It was announced today that Bank of Ireland is renewing its sponsorship of Irish golfer Shane Lowry, in a new deal to run to the end of December 2019.

Winner of the 2009 Irish Open, the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone invitational and runner up in the 2016 US Open, Shane has ranked as high as 17 in the world golf rankings.  He is a multiple European Tour and PGA Tour winner and one of Ireland’s most highly respected and popular sports personalities

The announcement was made during Shane’s preparation for the US Masters in Augusta, Georgia, where he will compete over the coming week (6-9th April).

Shane will continue to represent Bank of Ireland as a brand ambassador as he competes across the global circuit. He will sport the bank’s branding on the left chest of his golf apparel in addition to hosting a number of corporate events for the Bank each year.

Commenting on the deal, Shane Lowry said, “Bank of Ireland’s support in recent years has been terrific and I’m delighted to continue the relationship. I’ve really enjoyed representing the bank, whose brand I wear with enormous pride.”

Chief Executive of Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking, Tom Hayes added, “Shane’s journey and ambition resonates closely with our own, as we support both established companies and growing businesses that aim to be the success stories of the future.  We wish Shane every success, in particular at the Masters in Augusta this week, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with one of Ireland’s leading sporting talents.”
