Danske Bank expands Corporate Trading Team

Appointment of Corporate Banking Manager, Paul Currid, to strengthen the corporate trading team of Danske Bank.

Danske Bank has strengthened its Corporate Trading team with the appointment of Paul Currid as Corporate Banking Manager. Paul joins the bank from Keenan Corporate Finance, joining Jonathan Elder, Richard Robinson, Richard Stack and Ciaran McLaughlin, under the leadership of Lewis McCallan. Paul is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in Corporate Finance, advising companies on mergers and acquisitions, finance raising, project finance and corporate restructuring.

Head of Trading Team – Corporate Banking Lewis McCallan said: “The trading team is privileged to look after the day to day banking needs and growth ambitions of many of Northern Ireland’s top corporate trading businesses.  Our relationship managers are multi-disciplined highly experienced individuals dealing with the needs of trading businesses across a wide range of sectors such as hospitality, agri-food, commodities, manufacturing and waste management.

“I’m delighted to welcome Paul to the team as we continue to work closely with our customers to support them in a year that will bring some unique challenges and opportunities.”

In 2016 Danske Bank’s Corporate Trading Team supported a number of significant events. In the hospitality sector we supported Andras House in its rebranding and upgrading of the Ramada Plaza to Crown Plaza and its commitment to develop Belfast’s first Hampton by Hilton at Hope St. In the agri- food sector we supported a significant investment in an anaerobic digestion plant to assist the highly successful Gilfresh Produce business with its ongoing expansion plans.
